Epilepsy Society's vision is to make possible a future where epilepsy will be treated effectively, cured and potentially prevented. We are the only charity in the UK with a dedicated research centre located alongside medical facilities including Europe’s only MRI dedicated to epilepsy.
Our new phase of genetic research will enable those with epilepsy to receive the right diagnosis, at the right time and receive the right medication and care. We also provide information and via helpline emotional support for people with epilepsy, their families, friends and professionals.
We're looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join 'Team Purple' and help us improve the lives of people with epilepsy. Our dedicated fundraising team will be on hand to provide all the support you need including fundraising materials.
£40 could fund our confidential helpline for one hour.
Ten people giving £100 could fund a whole genome sequence, a scientific breakthrough which will lead to more effective seizure control while minimising medication side-effects
£250 could fund a day of a Bioinformatician who will analyse and interpret the genomics data, leading ultimately to accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment
