Challenging MND is a registered charity on a mission to extend financial support and assistance to those courageously confronting Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Our journey began in 2019 from a deeply personal connection — our Founder, Alex Gibson, was diagnosed with MND in his late thirties. From this moment, Alex created a vision to support individuals and families across the UK through meaningful experiences and practical help. At Challenging MND, we work tirelessly to create lasting memories and provide vital assistance for those living with MND and their loved ones. We offer bespoke experiences or activities of their choosing, as well as grants for equipment, home adaptations, respite breaks, and family holidays — helping to ease everyday challenges and bring moments of joy. Every pound raised helps us respond quickly to families in need — often within 48 hours — ensuring those affected by MND receive timely, meaningful support when it matters most.
