The Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) in Hereford is the UK’s leading specialist residential college for young people aged 16–25 who are blind or visually impaired. For over 150 years, RNC has been transforming lives through education, independence and opportunity.
Students come to RNC from across the UK to gain the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to live independently and pursue meaningful careers. Many arrive after difficult experiences in mainstream education, but at RNC they find a place where ability is recognised, barriers are removed, and potential is unlocked.
Alongside academic and vocational courses, RNC provides tailored programmes in mobility and orientation, independent living skills, accessible technology, braille and communication. Specialist staff, adapted facilities, and small class sizes ensure every student has the support they need to thrive.
RNC relies on charitable donations to enhance and develop its life-changing work. Your support helps provide updated technology, extra-curricular programs, emotional wellbeing support and vital support for students who would otherwise miss out.
By fundraising for RNC, you’re helping to build independence, raise aspirations and create brighter futures for people with visual impairment.
Together, we are changing lives.
