The Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC) gives total support to leukaemia, lymphoma and other cancer patients who are receiving treatment within Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and their families. Although based in Cheltenham Hospital our help extends to patients from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and South Worcestershire LINC gives financial aid when people are in difficulty as a result of their illness and funds two clinical psychologists. The charity also provides comfortable facilities for outpatient care both at Cheltenham General and Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals and purchases equipment for patients on the ward.
We are also committed to research and for the past 10 years have funded a post graduate leukaemia research fellow - our third PH D student is nearing the end of her time with us. LINC’s latest project is to upgrade the 8 en-suite shower rooms on the intensive chemotherapy ward to walk in showers that will allow wheelchair access. This will be a huge benefit for our severely ill patients who cannot manage on their own.
To continue the work we do we need your help. Raising sponsorship is one way you can show your support for those with cancer. For more information please visit www.lincfund.org
