To protect nature, you need to start with people
Here at Ocean Conservation Trust, we exist to protect and restore the Ocean. Our work, which began in 1998, is centred around people and positive action through pro-Ocean behaviour and habitat restoration.
Ocean Experiences
We want to connect as many people as possible with the Ocean, creating accessible and inclusive experiences for everyone. We know that when people feel an emotional connection with nature, they are more likely to protect and support its future.
Ocean Advocacy
We’re encouraging everyone, from individuals to communities, industry to government, to think about their impact on the Ocean throughout the day and make choices with the health of the Ocean in mind. #thinkOcean.
Ocean Habitats
We are working towards our vision of a healthy Ocean, and fundamental to this is our ground-breaking work protecting and restoring vital Ocean habitats. Our Blue Meadows seagrass conservation programme is a holistic approach to seagrass protection, regeneration and restoration at scale. Current aims are to protect 10% of all UK seagrass meadows and restore a further 50+ hectares of seagrass annually.
