FIGHTING EPENDYMOMA

FIGHTING EPENDYMOMA is an award winning charity set up in memory of Chris Bramhall to help fund research into ependymoma brain cancer in children. Ependymoma is the third most common brain tumour in children and arises from specific cells in the central nervous system and can occur at different locations in the brain and spine. This tumour remains a major cause of cancer-related death in childhood and adolescence with little improvement in patient outcomes in recent times. Children face gruelling treatments such as risky surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy which can impact their quality of life both physically and emotionally with extended periods away from school and friends. Children can also face terrible complications requiring extended hospital admissions and convalescence at home. Here at Fighting Ependymoma we fund research to look for better treatments and ultimately cures for this devastating cancer because as our motto says every child deserves a bright future.
