Brain Tumour Research Campaign

Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killers of children and young adults under 40, they are also the fastest growing cancer among the elderly and have one of the lowest survival rates of all ancers - and yet historically less than 1% of national cancer funding goes into brain tumour research. The Brain Tumour Research Campaign was started in 2004 by Wendy Fulcher who lost herhusband to a brain tumour. Together with her husband's neurosurgeon, Mr Kevin O'Neill, she determined to redress this unfair imbalance. Our vision is to raise awareness among thegeneral public and government of the desperate need for more research into thecauses of brain tumours and find new treatments for this devastating disease.
