Anne Frank Trust UK

Anne Frank is a uniquely powerful catalyst for learning and reflection about prejudice. Her experiences as a young Jewish person during the Holocaust offer profound insight into the dangers of antisemitism and discrimination. Through our programmes, young people gain the knowledge, motivation, and skills to challenge prejudice and promote inclusion. We focus on 9- to 15-year-olds because they relate to Anne and are at a formative stage in developing values and beliefs. Founded in 1991, the Anne Frank Trust UK brings over 30 years of expertise in anti-prejudice education. Our passionate staff deliver three strands of learning: free online resources and live events; a schools programme for whole-class groups; and workshops that begin with Anne’s story and expand to address all forms of prejudice today. Our peer education model empowers students to share their learning across their school. Those who wish to go further can apply to become Anne Frank Ambassadors through our Youth Empowerment Programme, especially aimed at young people with lived experience of prejudice. If accepted, they receive mentorship from an Anne Frank Worker until age 16, supporting their journey of learning and advocacy in school and beyond.
