"The Children’s Respite Trust truly believes that no family should have to care for a disabled child alone and therefore we offer respite services across Sussex. Families can access our support at our warm and welcoming centre in Uckfield or receive assistance from dedicated community carers who visit the child in the comfort of their own home.
We provide care for children aged 2 to 18 who have a wide range of physical and learning disabilities. Our specialised services ensure that parents get a chance to do things that many of us take for granted, whether it's tackling chores, taking a break, or spending quality time with their other children.
At the Trust we understand the impact a child’s disability may have on the family unit and therefore extend our support to siblings and parents. Our siblings group and care events provide opportunities for families to form a community and build relationships with others in a similar situation to themselves.
