We are Burton and District Mind, a local mental health charity affiliated to Mind: the leading mental health charity in England & Wales.   We have been supporting people within our community since 1991.  Our Vision is for everyone in our community to experience better mental health. Our Mission is to provide advice and support to empower everyone to experience better mental health.

As we an independent charity, we raise our own funds to maintain our presence in Burton on Trent, Burntwood, Uttoxeter, Tamworth and Lichfield.  Presence is important as people need to be able to find us easily if they need support with their mental health.   We tailor the many ways we support people based on the needs they report to us.  Currently our support services include Counselling and Coaching, Distress and Crisis services, one to one Recovery work,  Ecotherapy, Mindfulness and Peer Support Groups.  We also answer calls to people who need advice, and signposting to expert partner services.  We ensure that everyone who asks for helps receives it.

In fact, for every £100 raised by our Fundraising Family in 2022, we provided £2,600 in service delivery as a consequence.
